The story of “Swan Lake,” has all the ingredients of a magical fantasy mixed with a great love story and a battle of good vs. evil. Souring music, beautiful costumes, and elaborate scenery all set the stage for the story of a Prince’s love for an enchanted Princess who, with the ladies of her court, are eternally imprisoned as swans under the spell of Von Rothbart, an evil sorcerer. The spell dooms them to be swans by day and maidens by night. Only the true love of a prince can break the spell. The Prince Siegfried does fall in love with the Swan Queen, but Von Rothbart hatches a plot to get the Prince to betray her by substituting a look alike Black Swan to entice him.

Kamri Sams, Anna Sobczyk, Taylor Robertson, Tegan Campbell, Olivia Alexander, Sonia Isenberg, and Samantha Gibbons from Festival Dance Academies in Moscow, Genesee, and Lewiston will also perform in the ballet as heralds and ladies of the court.
